How to Clean Tips

How do I clean stains on my concrete driveway / garage floor?

Saturate the stain with Oil Eater full strength. Allow Oil Eater to penetrate the stain for about 10 minutes. Agitate the stain lightly with a broom or brush. Rinse the surface thoroughly or soak up with a shop rag.

Uncoated concrete is very porous; it almost acts like a sponge. If the stain is not completely gone after one application, wait 24 hours and repeat the process. This allows the concrete to “breath” bringing what was soaked in up to the surface. Old or deep stains may need multiple applications. Keep each application at least 24 hours apart to be most effective.

For heavy stains, use Oil Eater Overnight Stain Remover which is designed for concrete, asphalt, and other porous surfaces. Pour ready-to-use liquid product directly on the stain. The product will begin to work beneath the surface, using Oil-Eating microbes to clean oil from the pores. After about 12 hours, the oil will be pulled above the surface and dried to the touch. Use a dry brush to sweep away the powder, and if any residue remains, then rinse with water. This VOC compliant formula can be used in all U.S. states and uses environmentally friendly ingredients. Follow federal, state & local regulations when disposing of any hazardous waste such as oil.
