Oil Eater® Questions & Answers

Things to Remember when Using Oil Eater® Cleaners & Degreasers

  • Always use on a cool surface
  • Always spot test in an inconspicuous area on any surface before use
  • The less porous the surface is (i.e. no wax floors vs. uncoated concrete) the more diluted Oil Eater should be
  • If the surface feels a little slippery after rinsing, add more water to your solution

How do I clean stains on my concrete driveway / garage floor?

Saturate the stain with Oil Eater full strength. Allow Oil Eater to penetrate the stain for about 10 minutes. Agitate the stain lightly with a broom or brush. Rinse the surface thoroughly or soak up with a shop rag. Uncoated concrete is very porous; it almost acts like a sponge. If the stain is not completely gone after one application, wait 24 hours and repeat the process. This allows the concrete to "breath" bringing what was soaked in up to the surface. Old or deep stains may need multiple applications. Keep each application at least 24 hours apart to be most effective.
